Thanks to a donation from the Loonin Family Fund, beginning in 2010 we are happy to offer post adoption programs and services that will answer questions, offer solutions, and help families connect with each other and find common ground. These new programs, which honor and strengthen the family, are part of our Post Adoption Services Department and are available to all adoptive families.

“Celebrating Families” Series

Our experienced adoption team will host educational seminars for parents who would like to learn more about such topics as

  • Parenting the maturing child
  • Building and supporting healthy ttachmentUnderstanding and solving school issues
  • Talking to your child about adoption

Consultation and Referral

Our experienced and compassionate adoption social work staff offer phone and/or in-person counseling for parents, children and families nationwide. MAPS’ resource and referral program offers information and referral services through our own clinical professionals and by tapping into our broad national network of adoption experts.

Celebrating Families Mentor Program

Families interested in connecting with others to share experiences and/or challenges can get involved in our new mentoring program. MAPS’ counselors facilitate introductions between families across the United States, connections that offer insight, shared support, and new friendships.

Search Services

Available to MAPS’ families, our clinical team will work with adults adopted as children or families wishing to explore their domestic or international roots. Our staff can offer referral services when needed as well as connections to informational contacts from domestic and international adoption sources.
