The Nepal program is currently CLOSED to new applications.

MAPS is pleased to announce that we have received our enlistment from the Nepal Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare! We are now able to resume processing adoptions from Nepal. We appreciate the patience of our families who have been waiting during this country’s suspension of intercountry adoptions and are please to begin helping these families move forward under the new provisions. Although we are officially re-opening MAPS’ Nepal program, we are currently unable to accept new applications to the program until there is more information regarding adoption processing under the system being implemented. We encourage you to check this web page for future updates. We will post new information as soon as it becomes available.

At A Glance

Parent Requirements: Couples and single women. No more then 45 years between younger parent and child (some flexibility possible.) Minimum age for couples is 30. Couples must be married at least 4 years. Singles need to be between 35 and 55.

Children: Healthy children of both genders, from 10 months to middle school age. Children with special needs also available. Little to no child information or photos provided at time of referral.

Waiting Time: To be determined

Travel: One or both parents must travel. Trip averages 2 weeks. Travel expenses: $2,500-$4,000.
